Old school workout song of the day!

I know I haven't posted much lately, but I thought I'd give you another old school workout joint! I've been nursing this shoulder injury for a few weeks, and I'm getting an MRI next week to see what the deal is. Hopefully I'll be up and running full time soon. Thanks again to Sean at PSFitness for keeping my workouts light in the interim. Enjoy the jam!

I'm Still Here

In case you were wondering, I'm still here. Been battling a few injuries and I recently came down with a cold. Needless to say I'm not feeling up to working out, but I hope to be back within a couple of days. Sean sent me a good week of workouts that I definitely don't want to waste!

Old school workout song of the day!

Microphone checka!

I'm Back!

Been a couple of days since I posted my progress here, for a couple of reasons. The first reason is that I've been busy with work and school stuff. The second reason is that I got a little discouraged the other day after getting 95% through a nice full body workout. On the last set of my last exercise, I re-aggravated a previous back injury. Luckily, the workouts Sean has been giving me the past few weeks have really help strengthen my core. And because of that, I have been able to recover from this injury in 2 days! One of the things I learned in physical therapy was that keeping the core strong will in turn help keep my back problems in check.

Anyway, today I worked on legs so I wouldn't piss my back off any more.

Old school workout song of the day!

Hey, hey, hey!

Been a Few Days

It's been a little bit since my last post. I had an intense workout on Wednesday followed by an off day, and then a workday. I managed to get about 30 minutes of Basketball in at work until a "tweaked" my ankle and decided to call it quits. On top of that, my left shoulder is hurting and I have an appointment to get that checked out on November 17th.

Sean has some workouts for me that are not shoulder intensive, so I'll still be able to get some stuff done. I've gained 3 pounds in 6 weeks, which is promising!

Today's Workout - October 24th

Today was a workday, which is usually an off day for me. It was beautiful outside though, so I got in about 90 minutes of Basketball in the courtyard. Pretty intense cardio workout! I dominated.

Sunday's Workout - October 23rd

I'm a little behind on the posts, but I have been working out. On Sunday I did a 20 minute full body workout in my backyard. I worked legs, arms, chest, and even got in some cardio. My little man worked out with me too! If you want to know exactly what I did, you'll have to ask Sean at Rebuiltbyps@gmail.com

Recovery Day

A couple of hours after yesterday's workout I was feeling a little disappointed. The initial burn wore off and I was feeling pretty good. I was expecting to be hurting pretty good by the time the kids went to bed.

However, when I woke up this morning I was definitely feeling it. My shoulders and abs were screaming and I could barely roll out of bed. I got close to 9 hours of sleep last night which NEVER happens in my house. Even with the extra sleep and a good bit of eating the day before, I'm still feeling sore.

So my disappointment from yesterday has transformed into optimism again as yet another solid workout from Sean has me feeling really good about myself. It's crazy, but in the 6 weeks I've been working with him I have not had the same workout twice. Good Stuff!

Old school workout song of the day!

Classic from NORE! What!

Today's Workout - October 21st

So today I knocked out two requirements of my workout week. The first was an intense 20 minute upper body workout which focused heavily on arms and core. The entire 20 minutes was spent in my backyard using my body weight, the ground, and a tree.

The second requirement was good old fashioned play. 2 solid hours at the playground with the kids climbing on stuff, running around, playing some soccer, and lifting them on an off playground apparatus. Tired and hungry now, and I'm out of whey protein! Later!

Recovery Day

Well, I'm not as sore as I thought I would be, which is a good thing! Everything is tight though, so I know it was a good workout. One of the things Sean told me was to ensure that I was consuming enough calories to sustain muscle growth. So between eating like a pig and a little extra protein added in, I feel pretty good today!

I also got about 7 hours of sleep last night, which according to Sean is also very important. Today is a work day, which equates to an off day for exercise. Talk to ya later.

Old school workout song of the day!

Since the 90's were my formative years, it is only natural that I workout to 90's jams. I plan on posting my workout music every so often to get you pumped up! Enjoy today's installment.

Today's Workout - October 19th

After reading through Sean's workout for me today, I was expecting a light day.

With a 60lb barbell do 6 cleans, 6 standing presses, 6 bent over rows, and 6 squats. Sounds easy?
Now do 3 cycles of them without putting the weight down. Not easy!

It took me less than 10 minutes to workout today, and I'm exhausted. We'll see how I feel in the morning.

So how does this thing work?

For those that are interested, I thought I'd shed some light on how I train. Having a career, a family, and going to school online can be quite time consuming! Finding time to workout for many can be extremely difficult.

ReBuilt by PS Fitness has required NO MORE than 20 minutes per workout for me since I started 5 weeks ago. Even better, I can do everything from the comfort of my own home, garage, basement, or backyard.

Sean sends me my personalized weekly plan through email or text, and I report to him my progress daily. He has answered every question I've had quickly and thoroughly, no matter how stupid it is! I've had some pretty stupid questions too!

I will get into more detail with what my workouts are exactly after I exercise today.
